I bought an 8 gig for my 8830 before I upgraded to 4.5. I used it, and it worked perfectly. So COULD this mean that Tour could handle a 32 gig card out of the box (4.7)???

Yes. OS 4.6 and above can utilize a 32gb memory cars.

Depends what size card you want. I believe anything above 2gb is SDHC (High Capacity)

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0** Up to 8GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0** Up to 8GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and Up*** Up to 16GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later*** Up to 32G

With a Tour, your o/s is pretty well guaranteed to be high enough for a 16gb micro sd card.
