I've been really excited about the release of this phone, enough so to have talked all about it to my friend Josh. It wasn't until YESTERDAY however, that he understood I was getting a Blackberry TOUR becuase apparently the way that I say tour made him think it was a Blackberry Tor. I think it's probably a regional thing.
I've heard a lot of people pronounce it "tor" (rhymes with tore)
I've also heard a lot of people pronounce it "toor" (kinda rhymes with cure)
So, for a little bit of "kill some time" fun, how do you say it, and where are you from?
Its Tour! not that hard to say lol at least for us normal people anyway (I'm a yankee though) lol
Haha, I don't think you understood me. Some people pronounce it differently, kinda like the word aunt (you know, some say aunt like want, and some say ant).
I know we can all say "tour," but we all probably don't pronounce it the same.
Haha, I'm just fine with pronouncing it "tore," though if you go to the merriam webster website and click the audio for the word, they pronounce it "toor."
I've never had an issue pronouncing it "tore" until this phone... hopefully it will be only the first of the life changing experiences to come when my phone arrives eh?
Here, I think it's pronounced "Gimmie dat fone beeyotch"
But, I would go with "Tour, aka toor"
That is priceless, I actually laughed when I read that.
I would pronounce it "tore" but I know good and well that it SHOULD be pronounced "toor". I'm just stubborn and it p@$$es my wife off, she was an English major hahaha.
