hello everyone! i went to a sprint store today because my phone is broken at the moment, and i asked them about the release date for the Tour because i had heard it was possibly going to be July 20th... and he said, "No, the new blackberry wont be out until mid september." sooo umm... does anyone know about that? did he just say that? i already signed up to have the email sent to me, but im just going crazy crazy! thankk you!
Nowadays so many people are misinformed. The phone is ready, the OS is ready. There is no reason to hold the Tour back. I still say its released on July 20.

Yeah, September was the speculation from a while back because rumor was that Verizon would have a month or two of exclusivity. Turns out it'll probably be just a week.
Well I KNOW that the Tour will be released on 07/20 BUT some ignoramus reps at Sprint who can't speak any freaking ENGLISH decided they'd keep on me on the line for about an HOUR AND DENIED ME talking to the person in charge, stupid ridiculous guy, but he had told me had has heard NOTHING which is TOTAL BS because it's been announced on their Website, which he didn't know, so as of now calling Sprint for information on the Tour is a waste of TIME PERIOD.

Its an axiom: CLERKS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. Stop asking them, stop believing them, stop giving them any cred. They are not 1/4 as informed as any frequenter to CB.

I went to a store here in CA also and asked the rep today about the Tour and he also told me a "not for a couple of months". Then when I told him I heard the 20th he said well maybe in one month.

I'm hearing August 2nd. I talked to a regular cs and he knew what it was and actually new about Crackberry.com. However he couldn't quote any dates from other sites. I guess they have to wait for the word from the higher ups before they could say anything. When you guys called did you speak to Blackberry specialist or just cs telesales? It doesn't matter any way it's coming soon enough. I agree with vdub they should have to train on CB. seriously !
