For some reason some of my calls go strait to voicemail. My phone will never ring then I'll get a message saying missed call or new voicemail. This is irritating. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Yea I've been meaning to give them a call about it. Because on certain days/times of the day couple of my friends will call me, but I never get the call then a couple hours later they text me all mad as to why I never called them back or anything. Thats when I tell them to leave a voice mail because my bb has been acting screwy.
Call VZW and see what they say...I will do the same.
this happens to me on occassion and I agree it is frustrating when your bb is right next to you and you look at a flashing read light and see that you missed a call and the dang phone didn't even ring!
Its not just on Verizon either. I'm on Sprint and this has happened several times over the past week. I called Sprint. The rep didn't have a clue, said she'd call me back. Never heard from her, but several hours later noticed that my voicemail box was erased and had to set it up over again. She must have reset it or something thinking that would resolve the issue. It didn't. A few hours ago the same thing happened. Sitting right next to phone and suddenly I have a new voicemail. Never rang.
At this time u can not have voice and data traffic occuring at the same time on a cdma network. So if ur phone is downloading email in the background or u are surfing the web any inbound call will go straight to vm. Cdma+ or LTE are expected to address this limitation.

I've had this happen on a standard phone. It usually happens in an area of spotty coverage, so I figured I was just out of range when the person called and it sent the missed call message after the fact (when I got into range).

Voice always has priority over data. Doesn't matter what you are doing - it should always ring.
