I think regardless of what version of the OS it ships with, the problems seen will be far less substantial than what was seen with the storm release.

We have been assured many times by those we trust that this device is ready to go, therefore no problems expected, not a repeat of the storm launch.

What were insiders saying about the storm prior to its release?
I had just joined crackberry at that point and didn't really follow it.

The reason the storm OS at launch was so horrible was because it was a brand new OS. (Built off the regular OS's, but a lot of new code for the touch screen). IMO I think this device will be good at launch because it is still basically the same OS as the Bold or 8900

When on the download site, each build is referenced by a bundle number. Said bundle number has nothing to do with the application version, platform, or even package number. It is how a lot of us refer to these builds.

For the record the builds are a good ways past .28. Here's a few: .32, .36, .50, .58
All of which work rather well.

As much as I'd like to help you, I cannot. I love my job and won't risk it to leak beta software. I just posted those builds, and update the Latest Known Builds, just to keep members informed of what's going on internally.
No worries Salo, there will be a newer version out soon that you can download.(Telus) also, .58 is not the absolute newest.

you know that loser kid at school that somehow gets to hang out with a couple cooler kids? and those cool kids just kind of keep him around but no one knows why... and the loser kid just gets excited by being around the cool guys and hearing them talk?
