I upgraded my Sprint Tour to Verizon's OS 5.0.0.732 and everything seems fine, except my texts no longer go through. Before I downgrade I'm wondering if there are some settings I need to check that may have been turned off to cause this. I have my SMS application of course, and I can compose a message, but instead of successfully sending, it makes several attempts, fails with a red X and "retries exceeded"

I've tried this with several contacts different times so there's definitely an issue on my end and not theirs. I just don't know if it's an OS issue (not playing nice with Sprint), a BB settings thing (did I flip off a switch somewhere when I upgraded?), or a temporary Sprint Network glitch.

Oh and I already did several battery pulls. Unfortunately it's not that simple.

Oh and another thing. I just tested MMS and they work fine. I also have the latest PRL.

Ahhh nevermind folks. It was an odd tower glitch.

Just remember that SMS issues are almost always carrier/network issues and typically are not device issues.
