Sick of storm...want the tour......need help
- I just signed a two year contract with verizon in the end of may and im sick of the storm and its problems. I want the tour, but im not eligible for an upgrade. I already talked to numerous verizon reps and they all said I can pay "just" $489.99 for the tour. Does anyone have any ideas or hints that could help me get the tour for cheeper? Wirefly.com maybe? Is that a legit site?07-09-09 11:42 AMLike 0

- wirefly's website says something like extend your contract for two years and only pay $199.99. Does that apply to me or no? Thanks for the help.07-09-09 11:57 AMLike 0
- y dont u just add a line buy the tour switch tour to your main line and pay the 10 a month or have someone go on that line07-09-09 12:07 PMLike 0
- No. You have to be eligible to extend your contract to get the promotional pricing. You're way too early into your contract.

To the OP remember you had 30 days to try it and signed a two year contract.....
I agree with the others if you want to change that bad, sell your storm and put the $ towards a Tour.....
But you are very very unlikely to exchange it for a Tour07-09-09 12:11 PMLike 0 - Sell your storm on ebay/craiglist and then put that toward the tour...may be able to pay 200 or less out of your own pocket07-09-09 12:15 PMLike 0
- I've read where some have pleaded with the sales rep. to extend the 30-days by a week or two to allow them to return it. You may try that route. You've got nothing to lose at this point. But, I wouldn't anticipate a high probability of success. So, be prepared to sell the Storm.07-09-09 12:15 PMLike 0
- there is another way which will turn out to be cheaper. you can cancel your contract with VZW pay the cancellation fee and get the Sprint tour, plans are cheaper, that is IF coverage is as good in your area and your willing.. my guess would be a cost basis of 350$ instead of the full 489 retail. 150 for the fee + 199.99 for the phone after rebate. just a thought, if not then your only other option is to sell the storm and use the money towards a retail tour.07-09-09 12:21 PMLike 0

- if you have insurance find something wrong with your storm, and get a referb (probably in better condition than your year old storm), then spend 20 dollars unlocking it. Sell on craigslist for $275 (i think that's the going rate for a bnib unlocked storm) and then buy your tour.07-09-09 12:37 PMLike 0

- Did you get it at the end of may or did you get it 3-4 months ago? If it was only 5-6 weeks ago you could ask for them to let you exchange it but I doubt it. I'd just sell your storm for as much as you can get for it or open a 2nd line.
07-09-09 12:59 PMLike 0 - it was def the end of may.....i have already tried asking if i could exchange it but verizon told me the 30 day return exchange policy is up....i guess i will have to threaten veriozn and say i gonna cancel my contract , and see if that gets me anywhere07-09-09 01:02 PMLike 0
- your prob right, either that or someone will start a bon fire where all storm users could throw theirs in and watch them BURN!!! lol07-09-09 01:03 PMLike 0
