I'm looking to get out of my contract by paying the early termination fee. Would I still be able to sell my tour on lets say eBay, and would it sill work for whoever buys it?

Yes, of course it'll still work for someone else.

It should work with no problems. Your account would have to be fully paid, including ETF before anyone would be able to activate the device.

Rest at ease, it should be fine. To ease your worries, call VZW and ping them the same question.

I would get them to unlock the phone too. That way it can be used on any carrier. It'll increase the re-sale value.

Not exactly sierrabravo. An unlocked Verizon Tour would work on another Verizon account or, with a suitably equipped SIM card, T-Mobile or AT&T via GSM.

It would never work (locked or unlocked) on Sprint etc.

Yeah I don't think the unlock value is nearly the same for CDMA carriers as it is for GSM...
