i was told that the screen is really sensitive that if you touch it, it will ripple sort of like computer screen. is this true? the curve and the pearl have a hard screen.

In short...

Some people are concerned about how the plastic over the screen is not as stiff or rigid as past blackberries (like the 83xx, 81xx)...

When you push on the screen it distorts the image on the LCD, or "ripples." This is not unique to the Tour. The Bold/9000 and Curve/8900 are also this way.

With how long the Bold has been out there, if the design was causing problems, its likely that RIM would have done things differently on the Tour.
