    Why would that be a warranty replacement? It's not a manufacturer defect.

    It's damage. Hence what insurance is for.

    What's the point of insurance then? It's for those people who tend to have a lot more "Oops!" moments than others, or people who just want to be safe. Insurance is there for a reason, and you can only make 2 claims in a 12 month period.

    If you already had insurance at 5.99/mo you are grandfathered in. If the rep told you that you HAVE to get the 7.99/mo insurance its because the reps are getting spiffs for selling the 7.99 insurance. Better check that out
