I just upgraded to 5.0 and I now have an extra e-mail icon, that says desktop. How do I remove this so I can move some other apps to my home screen?

You can choose to hide it. Pressing the bb button when you highlight the icon will bring a menu to be able to hide it. Or you can create a folder and put all your junk icons that are pushed to you. I have sprint and they push all this garbage on my phone so I just create a folder and put all that useless crap in there that I will never use.

Move the useless thing into a new folder and then hide it. In some themes I shove that junk into a folder named "Useless" and then hide the folder. Out of sight is out of mind in my crowded world.
