I'm sure I'm not the only one who is using apps not designed for the tour such as Ascendo Money that is for the 4.6 OS. I want to go ahead and purchase the registration codes for a few apps, and was wondering if the codes would still be valid once a version is released for the tour.

It should be valid. If it's not, I'm sure the company will be willing to work with you if you send them an email PRIOR to purchasing it and explain the situation. At least you'll have a record of it and their response if anything does change.

You should be fine - the license keys are generally based off PIN so the software version shouldn't make a difference.
