have a tour with a black screen, blinks once then pause then 3 times (red led).. tried to reload os, but the dm won't recognize the phone at all.. it doesn't even say "unknown" for a second.. just nothing..
Any advice? It's a sharp paperweight
If you have your os installed on your pc, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and find loader.exe and run it. You will have the screen up and the pin box will be empty. Then pull the batt on your phone and connect it to the pc with the usb cable. As the phone is trying to boot it should pick up your pin.. Then put the batt back in and load up your os..
This happened to me when I upgraded to Sprint Official OS5. Steady red light, then it would blink 3 times. BBSAK couldn't connect. DM/App Loader couldn't connect either. I kept my Tour connected to my computer, used the Mac DM and eventually (after about 15 or 20 minutes), the update resumed.
