I have a BB Tour that is about one year old. Last night, a red box with a white exclamation point appeared on the home page with a number in white to the right of it that is steadily increasing. Can someone tell me where this suddenly came from, why and where I go to get rid of them both?
This is a notification of updated information that is available from a third party app you have probably installed. I get the same thing on my Pearl 9100 from the Fantasy Football Insider App whenever it has new information posted. You can turn this off by going to the "Options" menu for the particular app and setting "Display Notifications on Homescreen" to OFF.
