This might be a dumb question. I want to start receiving emails again to my handset. How do I go about turning that feature back on, so that I can get them? Blackberry Tour 9630 for Verizon. I can't seem to figure it out.

Menu>Setup>Email Settings>Add and then go through the prompts to add your email account.

I already have the email account added. But it is not sending the messages.

Try going to Menu>Setup>Email settings>click the BB button and select service books and resend the service books and see if that will fix it.

I am curious now, how would I get the messages to stop coming to my handset. I really don't need them being emailed to my phone all the time.

Menu>Options>Security Options>Firewall> Enable Status and then select what you want blocked and I believe that keeps messages from coming through to your phone. I think that should work but maybe someone else will chime in with an easier way. The only other way I know is to completely remove the email from the phone.
