So outside of the rollerball being replaced, is there any "real" reason to replace my Tour with a Bold? I know there are some minor tweeks here and there, but can't really find a great reason to make the switch---so I am asking the experts, is it worth the switch-

There is also double the memory at 512mb. And there is wifi.

Unless you get the 9780 then you only get 256mb.

A bit faster, double the memory, trackpad (yay!) and wifi. If those are deal breakers and you find yourself wishing you had them every day, than it's worth it. If you don't NEED any or all of them, and your Tour is working well for you, than it may not be worth it. Only YOU can determine for sure if it's "worth it" in the end.

The ability to use OS6 when it comes out. That's the only real reason I can think of to "upgrade" to a device with the same processor, screen, camera, etc, and I don't believe I'll be doing it. Going to miss BB...

I appreciate the feed back-I guess the only thing to consider is the OS6 possibility, but again not sure how much of a "must have" that is for me---

Wait so the Bold does NOT have a faster 'main' processor than the Tour 9630?

Not that I've heard. The only changes I've heard of are more ram/memory wifi and the pad.

I got the bold and returned it. I had received a refurbished Tour just prior to upgrading and it is great. The browser is quick, no lag and the trackball works great. I really think the trackpads are going to be problematic as it seams they are not set properly, but that is only an opinion. The Bold is a nice phone, don't get me wrong. What it boiled down to was it is not a worth while upgrade to do unless WIFI is a priority. If Verizon is going to give it as an exchange it is great. I don't want to be locked into it for 18 months with what should be coming down the road for Verizon.

The 9780 will only come with 256MB?...sounds a bit farfetched, I thought the minimum requirement for OS6 was about 200-250MB?

I absolutely love the Tour! The only reason I would switch to the Bold is for more memory, the track pad and wifi which I dont really need. Although the track pad would be nice and I never had trackball issues with my Tour.

to be honest, im worried about how os6 will run on the bold 9650.... even after watching some of the videos of the torch running it, it was laggy.

I dont know how many of you came from the storm but all the promo videos made it look buttery smooth when in reality it was a nightmare...

Personally, I love my tour. I like the trackball just as much as the pad. The wifi is no big deal b/c its already as fast as my ipod touch on wifi and the memory isnt an issue for me.
