Given that the memory card is accessible without pulling the battery, does this mean that I can remove and insert the memory card while the Tour is on and running (running meaning on, not accessing the card for pictures or music)?

I do this quite a bit, but always go into Options> Memory> BB Button> Remove Memory Card. I'm sure it won't hurt it but it makes me feel better. Just like the Safely Remove Hardware button on computers.

yeah, I'm with rides.

I can pull my flash drive out of my laptop without ejecting it too...but every once in a while, it screws it up. Good to be safe.

nopz.. the slot is not under the battery and its hot swappable
