iit says "you have inserted a SIM card. would you like your blackberry to automatically select CDMA or GSM based on the network availability?" does choosing yes drain your battery faster or slower? or does it not matter?

This will not drain the battery that I am aware of. This is how I set mine up and battery is fine.

most battery drains are caused by several things.

    open apps.
    gps on
    bluetooth on
    Backlight on for long periods
    heavy use

These are some of the main ones.

Ya it wont affect the battery as far as i know. What i do is just flip the sim card over, since its useless in the us anyway. Then that wont even come up and i have also heard that flipping it over can help get a better signal and therefore increase battery life. I am not sure that thats actuly true though i have only seen posts about it on the forums
