I have the storm now and I pay the 8 dollar insurance. I just bought a tour off ebay. I am wondering if I will be able to have my new tour covered under insurance even though i didnt buy it from VZW?

That sucks. With Sprint you can get insurance on ebay phones as long as you get it within the first 30 days of putting it on your account, I have done it with two different phones.

Verizon or Asurion rather has always insured my ebay purchased phones. I don't think it will be a problem

When I bought my storm on ebay, I had it activated with insurance. You shouldn't have any problems. I didn't.

You guys must be lucky. I've spoken with 3 separate VZW Corporate stores in my area, they all told me it wouldn't happen. One reason why I've held off buying a Storm from outside Verizon. Perhaps that was their plan...
