Yea this is my first Blackberry on all my other phones it was done automatically. I've looked under alerts and stuff like that I can't find it anywhere.

try an app caller berry buzz you can set reminders with it
I might have to although I don't want to have to spend the money on a app.
+1 for BerryBuzz, in addition to repeating notifications it will let you set different LED colours for different alerts.
Another +1 for BerryBuzz, well worth the money and it does so much!!
