Does anyone know if I am able to use PTT on Verizon with .419 instead of the official? I'm a little leary of upgrading after hearing about all of the problems. I appreciate any information you guys could give me.

I had an unofficial OS 5 on my Tour. I called Verizon and had PTT added to my account. Afterwards I could not complete the installation process. I called Verizon again and they said I need OS 5, which I had. We got disconnected. I decided to downgrade and then upgrade wirelessly to the official OS. Everything went smooth after that. I can only say what happened in my case.

Ptt does not work on anything other than 591 at the moment. Hybrid makers are trying to get ptt to work on other 5.0. Its just a matter of time..

I can confirm that the only way to get PTT on a VZW cell phone is to either (A) Have the official crap version of the 5.0 that verizon has pushed on us against our will, or (B) Use a hybrid of the 5.0 that has been told to work for VZW carriers.

You get it free for the term of your contract if you sign up for it within 30...or was it 90?...days of its launch on March 31st.

I am also using a hybrid on 591, it is the 607 hybrid, works excellent, takes care of almost all of the official issues i was having.

and yes PTT DOES WORK.
