I get this message when trying to use the blackberry shortcut icon for Sacramento News, Stockton, Modesto Breaking News, Weather & Sports - KCRA Sacramento's Channel 3, a local news station.

I did some research and found that the shortcut may not be utilizing "http://" in the address. Is there anyway to re-program the shortcut?

I'm having the same problem with WCVB in Boston and WMUR in Manchester, NH.

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming that the shortcuts from WCVB and WMUR are written by Crisp Wireless, Inc.?

When I switched over everything from the 8330 to the 9630, I had the same problem with both my browser start page (google) and with the NY Times quick launch icon.

Good news: there's nothing wrong with your phone
Bad news: You can't fix the quick launch icons yourself

The browser start page fix was easy. The browser hung with this start page url "http://www.google.com" and eventually returned the 'Protocol not supported...' error msg.

The browser worked perfectly with this start page url "http://www.google.com/"

Dumb machines, and sloppy error trapping.

To start the NY Times, I added a bookmark and 'moved' it to near the top of the bookmark list. Kind of a work around kludge, but better than nothing.

This problem happens with many quicklaunch "apps," such as CNN, NPR, MLB... On another forum, someone said OS6 fixed it. I'm having the same issue, and it's frustrating! I wonder why there's no option to simply save a bookmark to the desktop? That would be helpful.
