Is there any way to prevent this problem from happening, or is there any way of fixing this problem without restarting the phone?

Clear you cache and then restart the phone.... youre on an 8830 it says, thats an older model where battery pulls and cache clears are required daily if you are using it for a decent amount of browsing.

always clear the cache hit BB button, select options - Cache options

and clear everything.

Thanks for the help. It is a shame that this happens to me so often as the restart on a blackberry is so damn long.

There is a great app called Quickpull free
you can schedule a 'faked battery pull' at like3am everyday

so then you dont have to worry about the 5 minutes, or pull it before bed so you dont have to worry... I love to pull my battery before the shower!

I just realized for my user name it shows I'm using the 8330 curve, but I am actually on the tour. I have gotten the response to use quick pull from VZW store help, but my problem most times happens several times a day. Guess I will have to deal.
