Very concerned, wondered if any one else experiences this.
I really rely on the red blinking led telling me I have a messege...but...when charging and the screen is off (and sometimes not) I'm at ease because there's no red blinking light telling me I've got a dreaded email (mine are mostly bad news)...then i click the ball, screen lights up and....Damn! I've got an email and it isn't even blinking!
Checked all settings.....

Make sure all of your Profiles are set up to keep the LED blinking (notifications).

It goes into quasi standby mode. If you don't check it for a while eventually the blinking stops until you touch it again.
I think it does that to save battery.

This happens to me overnight.

Make sure you don't have it set to enter bedside mode when you charge it. Bedside mode disables the LED.
