I was wondering if anyone knows how to prepend a 1 automatically in front of calls.
when i get an incoming call and want to return the call and it's long distance, i have to write the number down and then call back putting the 1 in front of it.

Try this: Phone (Green Button)>BB Button>Options>Smart Dialing

From there, "Use '1' for National Dialing" should be set to Yes.

I believe you can do this under the phone options. When on your calling screen hit the bb button follow the options

Here's a work-around for you:

Highlight number in your call log.
Press Menu (aka the BB button) or click trackball
Press C and you should jump to copy ###-###-####
ESC to close menu.
Press 1
Press Menu and roll up one spot to Paste ###-###-####
Press SEND (call the number!)

Sounds complex, but it's definitely not if you actually do it.
Find a number in your call log without the 1 and try it out!

Also, get in the habit of ALWAYS adding a 1 to EVERY number in your Contacts.
Unlike many non-BB devices out there, if you dial them back it will add the 1 if they're already in your Contacts with the 1 for that number.
