If you exchanged your Blackberry, please vote based on the one you had with the worst trackball. I know this will skew results somewhat but it will be helpful to have a rough count of the number of Crackberry users with defective devices.

Maybe this will put an end to most of the clutter.

Mine works fine but it is my second; the first had a terrible trackball.

I'm using the heck out of mine to make sure I don't have any issues. I have read quite a bit that a lot of people had no track ball issues at first but developed after a week or two.

The Tour has a trackball sensor board unlike all the other previous Blackberries. The only other Blackberry that has the trackball sensor board is the 8900 (which strangely enough was plagued with the same issue UNTIL a software update was released)

Keep your Tour and change the sensitivity setting until a software fix is released. (if you're otherwise happy with your device)

*edit-forgot to mention the 8900 and 9630 use the same board.

That's the best advice I have read yet. Thank you.

My trackball works fine but I did have to replace my initial phone. Just wanted to clarify my vote. I initially had scrolling issues to the right which forced me to exchange the phone. I recommend this to anyone within their thirty days.

The one I'm using right now is my 3rd (Supposed new phone with a recon sku number out of the Sprint store) and this trackball works fine. Ironically, order support sent me a 4th phone that came in the mail today. I was going to activate it due to doubting the one I received from the Sprint store was a new phone but as soon as I put the battery in the 4th four and it loaded, the trackball was CRAP. Same, issues, same problems and I didn't even go through activating the 4th because of the trackball. I'm about sick of this phone!

Mine works fine. It seems a little recessed into the phone from how it was initially, but its not unusable. Sensitivity on 80 all around.

I'm on my third, trying to get one with a headphone jack that works. My first two had no trackball issues, this one sticks occassionally.

What about when youre scrolling your trackball and it actually FEELS different when it screws up? I think someone in a different thread descibed it as skipping over the sensor because it goes so smooth and doesnt make a little click sound when you hold it next to your ear like it normally should.
