    I was talking to one of my friends today and he's very knowledgeable on the whole BB thing.... He told me that the Tour will be getting an update for the OS 6 is that true??????

    Doesn't sound true at all, since it's not on the list (directly from RIM, as I recall) of devices that will be supported by OS6, and one would think they'd know if anybody would...

    people say that all devices with trackball's wont suport it........but i due time u may see a lite version or a full version.....maybe not for a long time but i guess we'll see.....when u due for an upgrade?

    Its something that might never come to fruition. Its the 9630 gets 5.0 then the 83xx and 81xx will get above 4.5.

    Your friend might be confused with the 9650 Tour aka CDMA Bold

    According to the list of devices that will get OS 6 released by RIM, the Tour will not be getting OS6.

    They also said the curve 8330 wouldn't get 5.0 but I had one and ran boost moibles 5.0 just fine who knows we will just have to wait and see

    The Tour does not have a trackpad. OS6 requires the use of either touchscreen or trackpad.

    The Tour will not be getting the new OS. Not at anytime. Sorry, this is one wish that won't be granted in the BB world. If you are able, Verizon gives yearly upgrades. So if you want the Bold, check to see if you can qualify for an early upgrade !

    Maybe we can get SOME features of OS6 but I doubt that is gonna happen...just like how we got left out in the cold when the "Bold" 9650 came out I think Tour owners are gonna be "stuck"
