It probably depends on who you get on the other end at Verizon. I called Verizon this morning, advising them that I knew that I was six months away from be eligible for an upgrade, however when the nice rep saw how long I had been a customer in good standing, she did change my NE2 date and gave me the $199 price for the Tour. It sounds like it depends on who you get and your history (length and payment) with them. It is good that the reps are allowed to have some flexibility.
my gf and i did the same thing, i work for verizon so my 20% discount surpasses the 9.99 adl cost. so we have a 3rd line but no one will use it... thats the only way around, AKA its like ur financing your tour through ur monthly plan...
