    if i dont have the data plan on my blackberry tour. will i still be able to update it to the newest os?

    You have to have a data plan for your tour to work, period.

    People are experiencing that you have to have a BlackBerry Data Plan now to update the OS.

    Also, be careful on AT&T. They will most likely automatically add the data plan to your account if you activated the device after September 2009.
