Just did the update. Browser seems pretty quick but still has the click issue. I though it was gone at first...but after playing around on espn.com Verizon proved my thought wrong.
The browser click issue is when you are trying to click on a link and it doesn't register. When you click the trackball in the cursor disappears but the link does not open. It isn't on every link and just sort of randomly occurs for me. At first I thought it was gone, from the leak version, but I kept clicking links on the espn page and realized that it was still prevalent.
Not only has the memory on my Tour gone from 75% to 40% after the update, but now my address book won't sync. Many of my contacts are repeating several times, and when I sync the BB with my Mac, I get this message:
The Address Book database cannot be accessed for synchronization.
For help resolving this issue, refer to KB19454 in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Knowledge Base.
I know this has been said a few times before elsewhere, but I don't understand how Verizon took such a long time to release an official OS 5 and then it turns out to have a few fairly major flaws. I guess we should just be happy it's out. I ran .419 for awhile and hope this turns out to be pretty good.
I have been running 591for about a week and I am loving it but with the Tour, everyone seems to get different results. Browser is fast, OS is stable , thumbnail pics load fast, media works well, no Bluetooth problems at all. The only issue I am having is the browser click issue which if you zoom in I overcome that issue. I think it is more a pointer sensitivity than anything else.
