    Hi,

New to BB world. Anyways, was wondering how:

1 - How do I move an Application Icon from the Application folder to the homescreen/desktop? I only see how to move it to another Folder or where it shows up in it's current folder. I basically want to customize the icons that are on my homescreen/desktop and can't figure out how to.

2 - Can I load my own music onto the phone and use it as ringtone? Or is there a way to get ringtones to the BB without using VCast as my work blocks Vcast...

    Thanks

    1. When you're in the App folder press the menu button on the app you want to move, select the "Move to Folder" option, then select "Home" as the folder. It will then be in your home screen.

    2. I have never tried using full songs as ringtones since I make my own. I think I read somewhere that you might be able to though.

OK.. When I select "Home" to move it to. It just moves it to the screen that pops up when I first hit the 'Menu' button or the BB button.. Not sure what to call it. It still doesn't show up on the front screen......I'm stumped.. This should be simple...

On my 9000 the first icons in home folder appear on the home screen. My theme allows 8 icons so the first eight in the folder display. This may ot may not be the same for you but worth a try.

Nevermind.... I see.. You have to put it in the right order..... Wow.. Little confusing... So I guess does blackberry limit your desktop per se to the first 6 icons you have in your 'home' folder? Can't put more above etc??

So I create a different Theme that allows more? This is so confusing coming from Android where it's literally drag and drop

The factory theme allowed only 6 icons. There are themes that allow lots more. I got a freebie that allows8.

Good luck. The fun has only just begun as you learn your way around.

For your ringtone, you can upload MP3 files from your PC to your Media card, then from your phone, open your Media files and pick the song you want to assign as your ringtone.

It doesn't play the entire song as a ringtone.

It is a small card you insert in your phone to store pictures, videos and music files.

I do believe the Tour came with an SD card already installed. Take your battery cover off to check.
