- Sounds like it. I forgot to list that problem, because I haven't experienced it, but enough people have complained about it around here that I'd assume it's another defect.07-30-09 03:41 PMLike 0
- It disappoints me that more people do not employ the most straightforward solution of all to these problems, particularly the hardware problems. Take the phone back and exchange it for one that doesn't have the loose door or the other hardware problems.
I realize that many people have a tendency against taking products back. Many people would rather "stick it out." I can't identify with that tendency particularly with a high priced item because I believe that getting what you paid for with your hard earned money means that sometimes, the consumer must exchange a defective product. To me, this is even more important when the item affects your quality of life, such as a BB, TV, computer or some other good that you use so frequently.
However, some people, instead of or in addition to having the sticking it out mentality, experience emotions such as guilt or some other similar apprehension when taking a product back. Others feel that they are inconveniencing the store. Also, some people are simply too lazy to take the product back.
I'm not bashing anyone (except the lazy factor). I exchanged my first Tour because of the loose battery cover and there was no hassle involved. My new Tour is perfect and has none of the various defects that have been mentioned on this board. I want everyone here to experience the same satisfaction that I enjoy having exchanged a defective Tour to a non-defective Tour.
Here is my most important point:
The small amount of time that I spent exchanging the Tour is much less than the time others will spend trying to cure the defects and looking for solutions. Even if for some reason, you experience a degree of hassle in exchanging the Tour, chances are that the hassle would involve less time and effort than what you would spend trying to cure the defects, including searching these boards, buying various products and spending mental and emotional energy related to the defects.07-30-09 03:56 PMLike 0
