    I got my Tour last week, during the day when RIM was "having issues." Since that time, my internet access "up-time" has not exceeded 15 minutes at a time. I have done all the usual things, deleted the service books, reactivated, and even reset the email addresses and sent the service books. And of course, the battery pulls. My Tour has the battery out more than in with this issue. I live in the city, and have all the "bars" lit all the time. Nothing worked. It is extremely frustrating.

    Does anyone have a similar issue or has anyone had such an issue and resolved it? I would like to try anything and everything before I exchange it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    If ur on vzw go into ur mobile network settings and take off global and put it on 1x/evdo only. That should fix it

    not trying to play devils advocate but why take it off global? by taking it off global wouldn't that reduce your signal or am I a crazy fool...prob a crazy fool but I am just curious

    I did in fact take it off Global and reset it to 1XEV. That did nothing. When I contacted Verizon, they said that setting it on Global was only good for traveling the world, otherwise it would look for a signal, and most likely have trouble finding it.
