My 'p' key is acting up.
It doesn't register when I press it about 60 percent of the time.

Could I get a replacement??
Is it really easy as just going to VZW store and tell them that I have a problem??

I'm assuming its still under warranty. You get the best service by calling 611 and talking to a rep there. Sales reps work of commission and there is no commission in replacing defective devices. Most of the time they will just order you a replacement anyway so you might as well call in and do it yourself.
