Yes, people have had battery issues with the Tour, but nothing compared to the signal and trackball issues. Honestly, my battery life with the Tour is not bad. However I often have days that my battery will drain quickly and I'm not really doing much to justify that amount of battery loss. My device has it's good days and bad. Just last Friday I was using my Tour heavily, phone, BBM, SMS, etc. After 12 hours my battery according to Meterberry was 88%. But I will stand behind that any BBM 5.0 version is s*it, it does suck battery and memory. I asked you that right after you told me I should give it a go. I noticed it right away, and it's still present in the newer versions...

I've read several people having issues with battery life. I have been off work since I got my Tour, I go back to work tomorrow and am anxious to find out if my battery will last the day. I dealt with battery issues with my previous phone (non-bberry) and will be purchasing an extended battery if my battery dies on me before 4 p.m. It's so annoying to have to hold your breath to get to a freakin charger, lol!

I used to have the same problem, now since you said that you make sure your closing all apps by using the BB Button and close, anytime you are not active on the device put the device in standby by using the mute key, it extremely increased my battery life

Has it always been like this since you got the device or just started happening? Is your house brick? I'm trying to think of the reason for the loss, cause there's definitley an issue. Here is where I'm at right now, took device off charger at 6:00 a.m. used BBM, SocialScope a few times, sent a few emails...

Excellent, I've been thinking hard about what it could be, cause that's a heavy drain. Hopefully this resolves your issue and if it does, why did getting a new device fix it? We may never know...

OS 4.1.0.40

I can pretty much just be on BBM and a few opens of the browser, and during that time, lets say 3 hours, my battery life is down to 62%.. nothing is running in the background, ive tried another battery..

any other suggestions before I throw it at the wall?

If you have Viigo, un-install it, your battery life will be more than double.

Ok i called radioshack, its where i bought it anyways, i said i dont have the receipt, just the box, and that i threw away the ugly holster and buds that come with it, he said thats fine, he has none in stock but is calling other stores for me

I am somewhat confused as I use my Tour daily and quite a bit browsing BBM etc, and I am about 40% at the end of the day. I know this isnt amazing like my old World Edition, boy did I love that thing, but I am running OS 5.0.0.230 and have yet to really find a "bug" you can always go right back anyway.

I just upgraded my OS to that latest one they got on the webpage (can't remember which version), and since then my battery goes out so fast. Do I really need to add the hybrid?
