Hi guys im with sprint does anyone know the max size for a video for MMS

I had a video that i've trimmed down from 8mb to 3mb and everytime i attempt to send it i get the message that the attachment is too big

Does anyone know how big MMS files are supposed to be?

Could you email it to the person? I believe email allows for larger attachments, though I am not sure the specifics on it.

Yeah i did email it but i was trying to reply to an mms a friend of mine had sent me

I trimmed to to 2mb thinking that would get it but i still get a message about the file size

I was hoping i could MMS this clip

I am not much help, but this thread that I found may be able to offer some good information for you.

According to AT&T the max file size for MMS is 300kb. It's not intended to transfer large files like videos other than taken on your phone.

That site appears to say the same for Sprint, I would assume for all carriers.

I wish Telus didn't block this option. I hate not being able to use everything this phone can do.

300 kb is supposed to be the limit. I think it'll work with something a tiny bit higher like 350kb. But 3mb is far too big, email it as a attachment
