Everytime I watch a video online or from my memory card and receive a message or text message it interrupts the video, my phone vibrates and plays the sound. Why is this because its rather annoying... On my friends bold 9700 this doesn't happen, the video just continues to play as the message arrives (normal profile and vibrate as well). Is it because of the Verizon network and how data and messages are send to the phone versus ATT's (because it isn't gsm)? I would love an explanation, thanks!

I'd guess it's because of the chipset they use with the phones, if GSM phones are behaving differently than CDMA ones, maybe their chipset handles sounds/incoming messages differently than the Qualcom chipset on the CDMA devices.

I just switch to silent before I view videos/messages. It's an estra step but it is less annoying than playback cutting out to vibe or ring.

Silence your tones from profiles and only a call will interrupt.
