Was +9.3mb a typo? Go to options>status, and tell us what your file free is. I'm not understanding...

I usually have a little over 117mb. So 99+ is this after a battery pull, or what?

Yeah, some have boasted 130MB free after a hybrid or beta OS install. I usually run around 125MB after a pull. Lots of apps.

I think what the OP is saying is that he starts out at certain amount of free app memory after a battery pull but as the day goes on, his free app memory actually increases by 9.3mb.

    Am I understanding that right?

My memory is usually floating around 88.x mb to 92.x mb after a battery pull.

How do some of you get it above 100mbs? What apps are you guys running or deleted?

Shrunk my OS by removing all cods I don't need. Voice dial, default wallpapers, sample video and pics, help files, pw manager, app center, etc. I have about 10 3rd party apps loaded and run 125MB after a battery pull.

I am usually around 110-125. If I leave Ubertwitter and Yahoo IM open, I leak down to almost 85-90. But by the time that happens, I usually do my daily pull anyways. Never noticed any problems.

After a batt pull I'm sitting about 107.5 with 70+ apps installed. Right now since I haven't done a batt pull in 4 days I'm at 101.4.

I don't remember the cod file names for them offhand but if you use shrink a os then you can get rid of them that way. .

There's also a way using crackutil as well I believe.

It could just be some part of the OS or an application hogs a lot of memory on boot, and eventually as garbage collection is done in the background it is getting freed up.

How are you getting so much memory? I run around 110, and deleted several things, and have 1 or 2 apps.

Used Shrink-A-Os to remove a bunch of unwanted stuff. Just removing these 5 cod files saves almost 14MB:

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_video_9630_480x360.cod (5MB) - sample video
    net_rim_bb_medialoader_backgrounds_9630.cod (3.1MB) - default wallpapers
    net_rim_font_japanese.com (2.9MB)
    net_rim_bb_setupwizard_app.com (1.3MB)
    THK2_v46_480x360.cod (1.2MB) - Texas Hold 'Em

All the VAD cod's are another 5MB
all the games are another 3MB
    foreign languages another 4MB

Are these all under options/advanced options/apps.....To delete them, or do I need to go through the Desk top manager?
