So i did a battery pull and decided to use this online timer to just see what the reboot time was. A little background, I started the counter as I installed the battery, and stopped it when the sprint logo finally appeared. This is my second tour from sprint, and I swear out of the box it booted up in 3 minutes. I wonder if maybe one of my apps could be slowing reboot time. 11 minutes is rather a long time to wait for a phone to boot.
11 minutes?
15 minutes?
Holy Crap... that seems ridiculous. I do think it has to do with the info that the phone has to process, but I have over 1K contacts and dont think Ive ever gotten there. I just did a battery pull, and my Storm was back up and running in about 5 minutes. Ive always thought that mine booted slow.
It does depend on what is installed in your device but 11 mins is ridiculous! I have many things installed in my Bold and it boots in about 3 mins 4 the most! The Tours are known to take a while to boot...
When it comes to memory cards, size matters. The larger the card the longer the boot up time it seems. I have a 2GB card and my Tour boots up in about 3 minutes.
That sounds right, as I have a 4gb card and my boot times are 5-7 mins...
I used to think the windows mobile phones were bad.. kind of ridiculous. Pretty sure a Pentium III running Vista boots quicker... Might get some competition with a PII (dead heat?)
I've got a curve 8900 and have gone back and forwards updrading and dowgrading OS's, also have loads of apps... nevertheless the only time i've waited longer then 10mins is when i'm installing a new OS... Something must be wronge there lad
