Do me a favor Go into your call log hit the menu button under phone options click smart dialing and tell me what your settings are set at thanks. I had my country code at +1 and it was giving me a error message everytime I called from my address book. I switched it over to unknown and the problem went away. BUT just curious is to what your local country code says. Mine says Pakistan(92) and I cant change it. Thanks for the advice. why does it say Pakistan?

Hmm I can't find the country name anywhere. All I see is Country Code: on top with a drop down list with +1...then Area Code: is below, followed by National Number Length: 10, etc...I have a Verizon Tour, does that make a difference?

Mine says US, but I too cannot change it... Not sure what to tell you. There should be a way to change that though. I am assuming you aren't currently in Pakistan.

Mine says Pakistan too, and there's no way in **** I live there. I also had to take off the country code, or else I couldn't dial out to with any of my speed dials when connected to my air rave.

Hmm maybe it's because my phone is unlocked, so I can change it? No country name shows up though...

It for sure is a Airave issue. When I disconnected it recognized the united states(1). Rim support and Airave support are working on the issue.

I'm having the same issue with the Verizon Extender - Whenever I leave the area of the extender and switch to the regular network, it tells me that my local country is not recognized. Did rim support find a solution for you?
