Well....... I have tested this release since yesterday and have found it decent. Emails took a little longer to send and signal fluctuation existed. I would still recommend .975 (verizon) or Phil's .975 Hybrid (with 6/7 files), which is what i reverted back to. The only thing wrong with the Hybrid is that live.com and ebay.com have issues rendering.
Any other tests on this? It seems this thread is no longer stickied for some reason (also the official OS listed on the OS page shows a slightly older one).
Been considering the hybrid and going back to the official.
I am still using verizon's .975 on my Sprint Tour. It is the best OS for everything I need. I like Phil's hybrid from bbtweaks.com and there is a browser issue with live.com and ebay.com, so i don't use it anymore. I prefer ebay site over the ebay app.

Thanks, guess I'll stick to it as well--I used to have "uncaught exception" errors with previous hybrids, but it seems like the latest one might be fine. Just tempted by the update (illusion of newer always = better).
EDIT: On a side note, I'd recommend going with the hybrids for those that are curious. Given the comparisons with this version (and the last official one which I believe is 5.0.0.1062) there are more issues than benefits.
After using the 5.0.0.1062 for a while, it's constantly asked me for setting up an email (when already everything was fine) after battery pull boots. Battery life + signal reception in general seem worse as well. Could just be a subjective thing though.

I have been using 5.0.0.1062 for quite some time. Infact it was my first and only attempt to upgrade from 4 to 5. I have had no ill effects that I can tell, I am just wondering if I should try .975. Any advice?
Thanks

Well I guess every device is unique with its own conditions. If it's working fine with you I'd probably stick with it. However if you feel you'd like to look into other additions/modifications, the hybrids are always there. (includes OS 6 & 7 files)
Personally I've never had any show-stopper issues with the hybrids and they have been smoother overall (except that uncaught exception error which I assume is gone now). I can't say the same for the official releases since version 4.

I would definitely either download to .975 OR Phil's .975 hybrid with OS6/7 files. Battery and signal are far better with either of these, than .1062. Although you may not have had a "bad experience" with .1062, you will have a better experience with the mentioned choices.

Thanks, I will have to look into the hybrid. I have not had any experience with a hybrid,,, so have to dig into it, and give it a shot. Thanks again for the advice.
