I have my options set to delete messages older than 30 days. However I still have e-mails on my phone that are 2 months old. Anyone know why this is happening?

Don't know why it won't purge the messages, but it does purge the phone log. Just another bug to live with.

Yeah! It's a bug in the OS. I just delete the 1st of every month. Although, I haven't monitored if .57 fixed it or not. I just upgraded a couple weeks ago.

You know.... I've often wondered the same thing. I have mine set for 15 days and it keeps them until I delete them manually.

Perhaps once the memory is tapped out and it starts deleting old messages automatically (which the bb will do) it'll only go up to time frame you've selected. But, since it's not calling for memory - it just keeps them.

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread and find out what the answer is - I've wondered this myself.

Its a bug in the OS, at least at this point. I am hoping that they fix it before its officially released.

I know this has been discussed a few times already....can't remember if there was ever a fix mentioned (not to my knowledge at least) - might be worth checking out if it is a big bug to ya.
