OK, so I had to get a new Tour because I was having issues with my old one.
I did a backup 2 days ago, so I figured that all I had to do was restore when I got my new phone, and everything would be back to normal.
I restored it today, and my downloads folder is EMPTY!
Why werent they restored as well?
Is there anything I can do about it now? (I do not have my old phone anymore)

Regular backup does not backup downloaded applications. Do you still have the old one? Does it turn on? If yes you can use the switch device wizard in DM to transfer apps, settings, etc. If you don't have old phone anymore unfortunately you will have to downloads apps again. Do a search for backing up 3rd party apps, so next time you will not loose ur apps.

    Hope that helps.

No, this was my first blackberry.
I figured that a "backup" would ACTUALLY backup my entire BB....silly me.

youre not alone...when I had my storm I did the same thing. Its kind of stupid that it doesnt back up 3rd party apps. Itll back up their settings, but not the apps themselves.

    I couldnt do that.

I was exchanging my Tour at a Verizon store, so I could not have both devices at one time.

Or...does the Device Switch Wizard need one at a time?

I suppose you could do them one at a time. Run the wizard, go to the store, come home with the new handset and finish the wizard.

Never tried it myself, but it may work.

    Unfortunately, I couldnt do that.
I have a Mac at home, so DM doesnt work with it.
So I had to do my backup at work, but my VZW store is at home.
So I wasnt driving back and forth between them haha.
