I'm in japan now and have a prepaid sim that i just put in my blackberry which seems to have all functionality working (email, web, bbm), but it's with softbank, which doesn't offer a "blackberry plan". another provider does provide a blackberry plan and i'm wondering if i need to go with them or if i can continue to use softbank?
my question is: might my blackberry lose functionality because i don't have a "blackberry plan"? or will it be okay as long as i have a data plan?
if it makes any difference, i have a verizon international plan that i will be putting on hold after i sign up for a plan here.
