can i take it to verizon for a loose battery door and get a replacement?
uhhhh, i would think not. They'd have to look you up by phone number and yours wouldn't be there.
If you bought it used from someone or off of ebay or something then no. But if you bought it new at best buy or something like that then it shouldn't be a problem.
If you bought it from an authorized Verizon reseller and it's past the initial 30 days, VZW should exchange it for you under the 1 year warranty. However, the replacement may be a refurb. If you're still within the initial 30 days, take it back to where you bought it.

Your blackberry should have a one year warranty regardless where you bought it.
If you bought it second hand, you may have to ask Blackberry to handle your claim.
Otherwise you should be able to take to the carrier that it is branded to.

i bought mine off ebay from someone, told the VZ guys that i got in down in Virginia.... they are sending me a new one because my trackball is messed up.
also i bought a curve off of CL a while ago, the store guys never asked questions when i went in with it, replaced it one time for me as well.
I wouldn't expect VZW to handle it. But you can always ask.
of course you can. If its got the verizon logo on there phone you can take it to any verizon store to have work done to it or exchange it. you also have a 1 year warrenty on there phone too
thanks for the replies, I did the tape fix but its still lose side to side and its resally getting annoying

I tried the same thing with my Storm that I bought on Craigslist and when I had dust under the screen I tried to get it replaced with no success. I told them what you're thinking, 1 year warranty, Verizon branded so it obviously came from them but no dice. They told me I had to call RIM, RIM told me they don't replace phones under their 1 year warranty, it has to be done by the carrier.
Verizon told me that I had to go through Asurion to get it replaced, so unless you're the one that bought the phone the 1 year factory warranty is useless.
get a silicone case.. works like a charm
Probably the only true post on here. You cannot return it. As soon as that phone exchanges hands there are no warranties/insurance, sometimes you will get lucky and a tech may not know what they are doing and swap it out(more luck if you call in then go into store) its been known to happen before, but policy states that we don't replace customer provided phones.
hey buddy just do this..

I did and it a forgotten issue!
yeah i did that, but its still loose side to side, but i got the headphone jack issue fixed some how by itself..
i am getting 3 epik cases from ebay soon hopefully so im not too worried about anything
cnn.cn
or check amazon, they sell replacement parts
but maybe its the door that isnt loose?
the backplate is the thing that wont hold the door?
you can replace that too haha
Amazon usually has parts and are cheaper, but if not just go with cnn.cn
I think we may be able to better advise you on what your options are if you tell us how you obtained the phone.
i won it from sal in the contest he had, it was brand new in a box
I would just put a case on it and ignore it.
