    I sell Page Plus, and I have a customer who bought a Tour from a Verizon store, he paid retail for the phone. Well the trackball doesn't work. RIM doesn't deal with the V warranty, it's V's responsibility. Since the "service" is through P+ not V, V isn't gonna do anything. That doesn't make sense. There's no water damage, and the phone hasn't been dropped. I figured some people here might have an idea

    The track ball on a tour requires the complete disassembly of the phone. You can't just pop in a new one.

    I would try vz again. If full retail was paid for the phone, it shouldn't matter what he's been doing with it. As long he has the receipt he needs to be forceful with vz abou a refund or exchange.
