Recently had the chance to switch from a Touch Pro to a Tour and I must say WOW! I thought I'd miss the touch screen but after only a day with my tour I have completely forgotten about my touch pro and I have no desire to scoop the hero or moment now. After about a week of playing with and getting comfortable with my phone I have recently installed 5.0.0.230 and I love it. So overall a great phone with great svc in Sprint and I couldn't be happier! I'm always looking to learn new stuff so if anyone is interested my pin is 30BE92EE. I like my Tour just fine...though I'll like it BETTER once the official 5.0 OS is released. With the hopes that it'll take care of a bunch of these ******** little glitches with custom tones, and other assorted items. I had already tried .230 and it was working fine, up until I tried streaming music to my car stereo through bluetooth. This was a deal-breaker for me, as streaming music from my phone is something I do often. Other than that, I love this device overall.
you could include the iPhone in with dumb phones lol. It makes a really nice handheld toy, but as far as phone capabilities...it lacks. And I am referring to the actual "phone" part of it.
Second that motion. I love to rag on my iphone buddies about how the iphone is in its 3rd gen and still lacks features most phones have had for years. LoL

My biggest "beef" <lol with the iPhone is that it's really a crapton of mostly useless software with a phone added to it...NOT a kickass phone with software added to it. That's the best way I can explain the downfall of the iPhone to iPhone users.
I too love my Tour...nothing like taking care of office e-mails while on the go...plus the multi-tasking, word/excel editing, PC-like file system (as opposed to Apple's closed system) etc.
I HATE MY TOUR, IT'S JUST A PIECE OF S***.
I use Verizon thru my work but with Tmobile for personal use. First, the trackball needs to be replaced. The battery cover is loosen (I have Sprint Tour, It fit likes the glove). Have the Tour unlock and no way I can make or receive call with my Verizon Tour. no circuit/channel available. When I tried to use my friend's AT&T SIM, I have no problem. I called Verizon, RIM, Tmobile they blamed each other for the problem and suggested no FIX for this. Everyday I google to see any fix. Nobody knows S**T how to fix this S**T. I gave up today and go back to my Curve.
i love my tour!! it's my 1st blackberry and i love it. i tried out the leaked 5.0 os and i hope it's released soon since i did notice improvement in perfomance
Yeah this is my first blackberry, my sister who used to be a tech had let me play with one about 5 or 6 yrs back and i hated it but im really glad i gave it another chance. wow what a long way rim has come.
