Haven't really talked to anyone on it about the sound quality. The trackball seems fine other than a slight gap on the top of the chrome surround vs the plastic. you can only notice this gap when the light underneath is on. Ever so slight, however.

Anyway, is this a problem? I had to google "green dot" to find what that meant...I def dont' have one on the box.

For what it's worth, my original busted trackball Tour didn't have this gap. My green dot replacement does have this gap and the trackball works fine on this one.

I wonder if this gap is there because of the modifications they made to fix the trackball issues?

Yes, it is the international way of writing a date, so its September 16, 2009.

Mine was Sept 1 and had the green dot...maybe they've stopped using the dot now?

I also have a replacement non green dot tour. Works fine.
