I have a few questions...noob here
- First thing,
My bb has been runnning a little slow, I guess it is because of the amount of programs I have running, anyway I can see which ones I have running and shut em down? Sorta like Task Manager or something.
Second thing,
I have searched on this one, on BBM, does anyone have a description on what the faces next to the name mean? Sometimes it is greyed out with a clock next to it, sometimes it has an x on it..and so on and so forth
Thanks! glad to be here. Anythemes for our phone yet?07-25-09 04:37 PMLike 0 - Hold the BB Button down. It will show you what is running in the background. BB MEssenger, Home, Phone, Messages and Browser are always running, you can't close them)
The faces are that person's availability I believe. If you look at their Contact Info it should offer more information.
No themes yet. Plazmic hasn't released the software to create them yet.07-25-09 04:48 PMLike 0 -
From any screen, hold down the Menu button. (That's the BlackBerry logo to left of trackball.) You'll see all open Apps. You can scroll between them and use the Menu button again to select them. ESC button closes the window.
You'll have to into each individually to close it still.
Also download QuickPull off App World. Set it to auto-reset your phone daily in the middle of the night. This will ensure unnecessary Apps aren't left running for days on end.

About availability status
Set your availability status to Available to receive
notification of instant messages as specified in
your notification profile. Set your availability
status to Unavailable to prevent the receipt
notification of instant messages.
BlackBerry Messenger also updates availability
statuses automatically. The Busy icon
automatically displays when the contact is
engaged in another activity. A busy icon displays
when there is recent key or trackwheel activity, the
contact has received a BlackBerry Messenger
notification in the last 2 minutes, or the contact
has not read or responded to BlackBerry
Messenger notifications.
The Unreachable icon automatically displays
when a contact is out of a sufficient wireless
coverage area or when the contact is using the
phone.
Or... The Tour User Guide see page 198.
There isn't a specific icon guide that I've been able to find, but I have worked them out to mean the following... someone else please correct me if they know of a link somewhere to an icon guide:
Blue Clock - Unreachable
Red Circle with Slash - Unavailable
Yellow Arrow - Busy
Green Plus Sign - Pending/Just Added07-25-09 07:25 PMLike 0
