ive been reading online that you have to purchase a code to unlock your phone. This is fine and I'm certainly willing to do this, but I want to look for a free alternative first.
What ways are there to unlock my phone? I want to unlock it for tmobile. Is there a way to modify something in the phone hardware or software wise? Or am I stuck with purchasing an unlock code.
Call Verizon. Tell them you are traveling internationally. If you have been on your account in good standing for the required amount of time, they will give the code to you for free.
Verizon gave me my unlock code, no questions asked other than to confirm the phone information and "are you ready to enter the unlock code?" No charge, no hassle.
